Model 1SC Series

Model 1SC

The Model 1SC is a large table top carbide disintegration work center. The generous sized table on this machine lends itself to automotive engine blocks and parts of similar size.

Another popular use for this machine is for disintegrating broken carbide bits out of heads in the gas, oil and water drilling industries. For customers with large parts using carbide tools like deep hole carbide tipped drills, this machine is an excellent choice.

Standard features:

  • 1016MM (40") wide x 812MM (32") deep cast iron work top with machine-ground surface and five T-slots to secure your work piece.
     
  • Steel base cabinet of heavy, reinforced frame construction that holds work top 812MM (32") above floor on four heavy-duty rubber wheel casters.
     
  • Disintegration head support system consisting of a 1270MM (50") high by 70MM (2-3/4") diameter column and a 914MM (36") long by 57MM (2-1/4") diameter cross arm for solid support. The cross arm rotates 360° around the column and head rotates 360 around the cross arm. A manual compression lock holds the cross arm and head in position.

Additional feature standard on all Electro Arc table top carbide disintegrators:

  • Compact durable head with 305MM (12") uninterrupted quill travel that makes and breaks an arc 120 times per second. It has a push button remote start, auto depth stop and limit switch. Any conductive material can be used as an electrode but molybdenum tubes are recommended.
     
  • 305MM (12") lift rack
     
  • Current Indicator for precise current control
     
  • Lighted push buttons plus emergency stop button
     
  • External fuses
     
  • Built-in coolant system, with a 90 PSI pump, coolant tank plus drainage channels in the worktop, provides optimal control and recycling of coolant.
     
  • Precision ground and chromed quill assemblies
     
  • Rack and pinion movement
     
  • Power supply is a controlled rectified DC cutting power in eleven heat selections. Disintegrates high speed and carbide materials fast under servo control. Input AC power input available in 208, 240, 383, 440 or 575
